The Foundation Juan Felipe Gomez Escobar (Juanfe) has as mission to reduce child mortality and to improve quality of life of poor teen mothers in the city of Cartagena. The impact of Juanfe on these mothers is significant. They come from slums of Cartagena, overwhelmed by what they are going through, with few prospect of change. However, -without knowing how to do it- they all share the desire to live a better live with their child.

In order to help these adolescents, Juanfe offers a concrete and complete answer: a psychological support, a medical follow up, an implication of family, a human and technical training as well as professional integration thanks to the synergies with enterprises of Cartagena.

Moreover, in order to promote professional integration of the teenage mothers, Juanfe developed two structures into his centres: the production unit and the school-enterprise. Furthermore, the teen women have access to a medical and psychological follow up and can drop their children to a nursery in order to be able to follow the training units.
