Strategies to facilitate girls’ participation in transition activities at the level of the private sector

Collaboration with the private sector generally focuses on enhancing the quality of existing TVET programmes, but it also offers opportunities to better assess the risks of and resistance against female employment and to promote girls’ competences to future employers and entrepreneurs.

Where possible, women entrepreneurs should be used as female role models – for students, school staff, entrepreneurs and employers alike.

Collaboration with future employers through “job offices” also offers an opportunity to encourage gender sensitivity and awareness among private sector actors, for example through training.
