Lainie Keper is a Research, Policy, and Advocacy Coordinator for Education International (EI), the Global Union Federation that brings together 383 organisations of teachers and other education employees from across the world, more than 32 million teachers and education support personnel. In particular, Lainie supports the advocacy efforts related to quality climate change education, LGBT+ rights, Indigenous Peoples' rights, gender equity, and teacher well-being.
She is a former classroom teacher, having taught secondary English as foreign language, history and civics. Lainie holds a joint master's in Education Policy for Global Development (GLOBED) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Glasgow, and the University of Cyprus.
