Therese Curran is an Education Specialist in the Syria Response Office of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), based in Jordan.
Therese is a passionate educator with a 20-year career as a secondary school teacher and Head of Department. Therese has worked in emergency education since 2005 and has worked with the NRC in East Timor, South Sudan, Lebanon, Myanmar and Syria. Therese’s current work focusses on providing strategic technical advice and support to NRCs teams working inside Syria, to provide access to quality education opportunities for children and youth.
Therese holds Masters’ degrees in Educational Leadership and in International and Community Development.
In the morning panel, Therese will represent INEE, the Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies.
