Shane Deconinck is an applied computer science researcher with hands-on experience deploying IT solutions in resource-scarce environments. In 2017, Shane began his work voluntarily at The Swallow, a center for emancipating education in the Gambia. 

Now, through his role at Howest University of Applied Sciences, Shane is integrating the KUBO project into his professional work, focusing on scaling its impact across low-income countries. His continued efforts aim to expand access to IT infrastructure and education, fostering growth in underserved regions and empowering communities through practical technology solutions.
