Martha Muhwezi holds a Master’s degree in Gender and Women Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Education of Makerere University, Kampala (Uganda).

Ms Muhwezi is a development worker with over 15 years’ experience. Prior to joining the FAWE Regional Office in Nairobi, she worked as the Executive Director of FAWE Uganda. Previously, she served as Program Officer with Christian Children’s Fund Uganda, where she was part of the senior management team of the organization and provided technical guidance on gender mainstreaming in all aspects of program design and implementation.

Ms Muhwezi’s current work involves providing leadership and coordination to the 34 FAWE National Chapters as well as providing them with technical support for capacity building in policy influencing, community advocacy, resource mobilization and project management cycle.
