Programme Coordinator for the Andean region (Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador) and Haiti | VIA Don Bosco
Amélie Janssens works for VIA Don Bosco as a programme coordinator for the Andean region (Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador) and Haiti. Because of her studies and personal affinity, she also participates in the follow-up of projects on environmental and sustainability issues within her organisation. Since 2021, she has been a member of the steering group of the SECORES platform.
A bio-engineer by training, Amélie has been active for many years in the defence of family farming. She is also interested in the societal aspects of the evolution of agriculture. She started out in rural development, then joined the NGO world and acquired her affection for international work, first in Africa and then in Latin America, on projects involving genetics and the improvement of agricultural practices and agroecology.
