Raquel has extensive experience working with civil society organizations, both locally and internationally, serving vulnerable populations from young adolescent girls to small farmers and indigenous communities in rural areas.

She currently leads the area of Initiatives for the New Economy at Moisés Bertoni Foundation, a leading NGO in Paraguay focusing on nature conservation, sustainable development, and education. She designs and implements educational projects focusing on women's empowerment, entrepreneurship, and territory development- integrating social, environmental and economic value.

Raquel is an active member of the APPG, a civil society organization, where she promotes educational projects for youngsters and mentors them. She is the co-author of Sustainable Adventures in Mbaracayu, a children’s book for all ages. In 2019, she was recognized by the President of the Paraguay, Mario Abdo Benitez, for her initiative in the agro sector.

Raquel holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of East Tennessee State, a Bachelor in International Studies from Old Dominion University, and a Certificate in Sustainable Development and Environmental Conservation from Queensland University of Technology in Australia. She is the mother of Maxine.
