About the speaker
As part of her visit to Belgium in the context of eNSPIRED, Cleopatra Muma Chona shared her story and expertise within the Educaid.be platform during a Connect&Learn on the 14th of March.
Cleopatra is currently serving as Executive Director for Zambia Open Community Schools (ZOCS), a pioneer NGO in the education sector in Zambia. She shared her ideas on working education innovations that take parental involvement and community engagement at the center of a child’s education.
Cleopatra believes that if households and communities are well engaged and provide a bedrock for a child’s learning and education, schools become a supplementary resource to support lifelong learning. The ZOCS Community model in the provision of education has been tested and proven over the last three decades as a sustainable way to support education regardless of location, gender and social status.
