KIYO empowers children and youth to take charge of their lives and realise their rights so they can contribute to a just and sustainable society. Together with its partners, KIYO strengthens the personal development and technical skills of children and youth. This enables them to initiate positive changes as active global citizens both in themselves and at the level of society.

We have joined forces with Djapo to stand up for the empowerment of children and youth together.
In addition, KIYO also actively collaborates with 11.11.11, including in promoting their campaigns.
Active Global Citizenship
KIYO sees children and youth as active global citizens who share one planet and will shape the future together. These are critical citizens who are aware of global challenges and their global interdependence. In doing so, youth commit their talents to a more just world. Rights apply across borders. We want to connect youth across borders. KIYO empowers youth to become active global citizens, focusing on four key pillars:
