Mahran Al-Tawil holds a Master of Arts in Democracy and Human Rights, and a BA in Public Administration from the Faculty of Law and Public Administration at Birzeit University.

Mahran is responsible for managing all interventions on community-based rehabilitation targeting persons with disabilities in the different governorates of the West Bank, with the aim of creating an inclusive world for all.

Mahran has also previously managed the Economic Empowerment Program at BASR. He has worked in the disability and rehabilitation sector in Palestine for the past 12 years, and has an extensive experience in this field working with different national and international stakeholders.

Through the adoption of the community based inclusive development approach, the Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Program at Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation (BASR) presents its on-ground experience on developing inclusive economic empowerment interventions. These include enhancing access to career counseling and vocational assessment, inclusive TVET programs and centers, and dismantling the barriers that limit the access of PWDs to decent work in Palestine. The presentation will shed light on the tools, methodologies, and successes.
