Fernando Hettiyadura is the Regional Digital Development Officer of the Youth Employment Solutions (YES!) project at Plan International Asia Regional Office.

Plan International is an international humanitarian, child-centred development organisation without religious, political or governmental affiliation. YES! is Plan’s approach to enable vulnerable and excluded young people, especially girls and young women, to engage in decent work (either waged or self-employment) of their own choosing.

Fernando Hettiyadura is responsible for the facilitation of the execution and implementation of YES! Digital Initiations in 14 countries across Asia. The main focus is on ICT for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) with an orientation on building the employability skills of marginalised youth in the region.

Fernando Hettiyadura has over 14 years of experience in the areas of ICT4ED and Leadership Development. He has contributed to the advancement of quality ICT4ED implementation, facilitating governments, educational organisations, educators and young adults particularly in Asia and the Middle East. He is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with experience in leadership development in the corporate world and a passionate Life Coach. He also has experience as a Master Trainer as well as an ICT Educator.

He is passionate about positive change and loves to dance, especially Latin dance.
