Sr Justine Dembele
Physiotherapist, Lecturer at the National School of Public Health (ENSP), Burkina Faso & PhD Candidate in Public Health, UHasselt, Belgium

A physiotherapist specialized in adult neurology and a researcher in neurological rehabilitation, Justine Dembele is currently practicing at Tengandogo University Hospital in Ouagadougou. With over 10 years of clinical experience in Burkina Faso and Belgium, she trained at the University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin) and later completed a master’s degree at UCLouvain (Belgium).

She has been teaching at the ENSP School of Physiotherapy in Ouagadougou since 2021 and is pursuing a PhD at Hasselt University. Her research focuses on the rehabilitation of people who have suffered a stroke or are affected by cerebral palsy, with several international publications to her credit.

She is an active advocate for accessible community-based rehabilitation centered on patients, their families, and caregivers, in alignment with the WHO’s “Rehabilitation 2030” initiative.
