CASE 2 | Driving Digital Inclusion: expanding digital skills learning in remote regions through the Digitruck Programme
Having digital tools is one thing; having access to them is another. At Close the Gap, our mission is to bridge the gap between opportunity and accessibility, making sure no one is left behind in the digital age - no one and nowhere. To reach the most remote communities, we have launched the Digitruck programme.
We will present the concept, objectives, and operations of our mobile Digitrucks, including a focus on the Digitruck in Sierra Leone, launched in 2024 in partnership with Media Matters for Women (MMW). Media Matters for Women supports women and girls in remote areas by providing access to reliable information and empowering them to make informed decisions about their rights and well-being. Experience the Digitruck from within and discover how these mobile classrooms advance digital empowerment for women and girls in communities across Sierra Leone.
