Humberto Camacho is from Cochabamba, Bolivia. For the past 12 years, he has been the National Coordinator of the Bolivian Planning and Development Office at OFPROBOL (a partner of VIA Don Bosco). It's an NGO addressing the development needs of vulnerable girls and boys, families and communities served by the Salesian works in Bolivia. OFPROBOL focusses primarily on social inclusion, education, vocational & technical training, professional insertion, rural development, water supply and sanitation. The NGO takes great care in applying gender and intercultural perspective in all its actions, creating synergies where necessary with local or international organizations.

Humberto holds a BS in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Water Resources Management from UNESCO-IHE (Delft, The Netherlands). Between 2015 and 2016, he was selected to be part of the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program, sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, based at the University of California Davis. Here he focused on sustainable and inclusive development, environment and climate change.

Humberto has two daughters, Luciana, 13, and Fabiana, 11, and a pet called Annie, a little dog they adopted five years ago; he is, therefore, the only "boy" in the house. He likes to spend time with his daughters, get to know their perspective of the world and develop with them basic tools so that they can achieve all their goals. His hobbies are gardening and singing.
