Sharon Chikanya

Project Manager, Plan International Rwanda

Sharon Chikanya is currently working for Plan International Rwanda as Project Manager for the project ‘Empowering Girls for Equality’. The project targets refugees from the DR Congo living in Rwanda and is being implemented in two refugee camps of Gihembe and Nyabiheke.

Sharon has over 10 years of humanitarian and development project management experience through working in adolescent girls and young women programming, child protection & child rights, sexual/gender-based violence (S/GBV) prevention and response, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), food security, youth and economic empowerment programming, gained in Zimbabwe, Rwanda and the UK.

Sharon is a qualified Social Worker and has a Master’s Degree in Development Management from The Open University, UK.
