About the speaker
Professor Tinne De Laet
Faculty of Engineering Science (KU Leuven)
Tinne De Laet is professor at KU Leuven’s Faculty of Engineering Science and the Leuven Engineering and Science Education Center. Her research focuses on engineering education, Learning Analytics, and self-regulated learning in STEM. She leads Tutorial Services for Engineering Science, supporting first-year students.
She coordinates interdisciplinary projects that link research to educational practice, such as Explanations in AI, Reflect, and the Erasmus+ projects ABLE, STELA, and LALA. These projects aim to improve student learning and transitions into higher education.
Tinne is active in educational policy at KU Leuven and VLIR, and serves on the executive board of Leuven.AI and the KU Leuven Institute for Educational Research. She has published extensively and was selected for the Lighthouse Educational Leadership programme.
