Martin Mbaga, a Belgian engineer, graduated from the Ecole Centrale des Arts et Métiers de Bruxelles (ECAM). He embarked on his professional journey in 2007 as an IT consultant, providing support to various companies in their digital transformation initiatives. Over time, he transitioned into the role of an IT project manager. With more than 15 years of experience as a consultant, Martin has had the opportunity to explore and leverage several technologies to enhance operational processes and address developmental challenges, working with both private and public organizations such as the European Commission, NATO, UN, and Alstom.
His passion lies in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Robotics, and more. Martin strongly believes in their potential to create productive jobs and revitalize economic growth in Africa. This belief inspired him to co-found ImpalaBridge, an NGO dedicated to driving digital transformation in Africa.
Martin recognises the importance of education and training, emphasizing that equipping young people with the necessary skills is crucial for fully and sustainably unlocking the potential of emerging technologies.
