The Oye LENA project is an educational initiative located in Curahuasi, in the Andes Mountains at an altitude of 2,600 meters. It was established in April 2012 and registered as an NGO in Peru since February 2013. Since July 22, 2020, the activities have been supported by the corresponding association, Oye LENA Belgium vzw. The aim of Oye LENA is to combat poverty and social inequality by providing quality education to underprivileged children, ethnic minorities, children with disabilities, and children in rural areas.

The project consists of four educational sub-projects, which practically overlap: Oye NIÑOS provides education to preschoolers, primary and secondary education, as well as to babies between 6 and 24 months, with a focus on girls. Oye JUNTOS opens its classes to children with disabilities, providing individual education and special activities, and organizes inclusive education and an inclusive workplace. The project supports families, promotes parental involvement, and provides health care and nutrition to the children to ensure their well-being.

Additionally, Oye LOCAL collaborates with the local population and organizations to exchange knowledge and resources, while Oye MUNDO focuses on promoting a better world with international volunteers.
