LzG believes in the power of education, training and education as a lever for development, as the best instrument for sustainable development of every society. This for children, (young) adults, for the individual and for the community.
LzG believes that education in a broad sense contributes to a more just world, always with respect for the individuality and culture of all partners in the global South. Through the power of cooperation between teachers in Flanders and teachers in partner countries.
LzG supports approximately 50 Flemish educational projects in Asia, Africa and South America. With the ultimate goal of self-reliance of all projects.
LzG strengthens the competences of teachers, management, so that the quality of their work and its impact on children and (young) adults increases.
LzG undertakes actions aimed at supporting projects in the broadest sense.
In concrete terms, this means:
- promoting solidarity between teachers in a spirit of solidarity, equality and pluralism, and with respect for the cultural identity of all those involved;
- bringing together and mobilising teachers and all those who consider education (training and education) important for a just world;
- collaborating with organisations with similar objectives.
