Véronique Cranenbrouck is Co-Director of WAPA International, a Belgian organisation that supports children affected by armed conflict: children associated with armed forces and groups, victims of sexual violence, children born of rape, or those who have been forcibly displaced.
For more than ten years, she has been developing programmes with local partners in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Colombia, and more recently in Thailand, at the border with Myanmar. She draws on her experience to raise public awareness and to mobilise partners around the cause of children affected by war.
