Jessica Kalala
Executive Director of Si Jeunesse Savait

Jessica Kalala is a young Congolese human rights activist, born in Kinshasa. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship, Taxation and Business Management, as well as a Diploma in Economics and Development from the Université Catholique du Congo.

Jessica is currently the Deputy Executive Director of Si Jeunesse Savait, a youth feminist organisation based in the DRC that promotes and protects human rights, empowerment, and leadership among young people, with a particular focus on young women. Since 2024, she has also served as Executive Secretary of the Women’s Rights Action Group.

She also works on advocacy for women and girls, as well as all marginalised groups, through mechanisms such as the Examen Périodique Universel (EPU), the Convention sur l'élimination de toutes les formes de discrimination à l'égard des femmes (CEDEF), the Pacte International relatif aux droits civils et politiques (PIDCP) and many other advocacy frameworks at both national and international levels.

Jessica Kalala embodies a new generation of women leaders in the Democratic Republic of Congo, committed to the social, economic and digital transformation of the country.
