In a global context marked by increasing challenges, this session offers a space for open and respectful dialogue on comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) and menstrual hygiene management (MHM). CSE is a comprehensive form of education that aims to provide young people with the knowledge, skills and values they need for their sexual and reproductive health, relationships and responsible choices. These topics, which are essential for young people's well-being, will be addressed through concrete experiences shared by actors in the field in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Benin, Tanzania and elsewhere.
Session objectives:
-
Highlight current issues and challenges related to CSE and MHM.
-
Share inspiring practices and tools from educational and community projects.
-
Give young people a voice, in particular through the participation of two young people from the SoliDare Hub (Enabel).
Belgian and international speakers, including representatives from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Benin and Tanzania, will guide us in an open discussion on these often sensitive but fundamental issues.
