Bart Cornille
Digital for Development expert | Enabel in Uganda
Bart Cornille is an innovation expert with a passion for digital technology. Since 2016 he is working for Enabel on D4D projects (Digital for Development). From 2019 he has been facilitating the digital transformation process of the NTCs (National Teacher Training Colleges) and VTIs (Vocational Training Institutes) in Uganda. Since D4D and innovation are a transversal theme in the new Enabel portfolio (2023-2028), he is now responsible of mainstreaming it in education, vocational training and health.
He holds a Masters - and a Teachers Degree of the Ghent University. He obtained a post-graduate in Open and Distance Education at UNISA (South-Africa) and a certificate on guiding online communities of the University of Birmingham (United Kingdom). He also worked with IDRC, UNESCO, University of Antwerp and IDROPS. As co-founder of Bongo Hive, a Zambian technology and innovation hub, he continues to support the hubs’ mission and vision abroad.
