EdukoMondo vzw, Esperanto for Global Education, aims to enrich the learning experience for students and teachers in remote areas through digital means. We develop and supervise solutions based on open source and standard components. By doing so, we aim to reduce the digital divide between those students who have access to the internet, cloud services, online learning platforms and those who do not. Even without internet access, we want students of all ages - and their teachers - to experience how digital learning opens up the world.
Besides infrastructure, EdukoMondo also develops STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) video courses for the beginning teacher. To maximise accessibility, these videos are translated into Khmer, Thai, French, Bengali, etc. using artificial intelligence. The STEAM classes are specifically designed as a springboard to decent work with a focus on 21st century competencies such as team collaboration, solution-oriented thinking and clear communication.
